Our Beloved Guru

Dr. Sripriya Kapisthalam

Dr. Sripriya Kapisthalam, founder and proprietor of Natyaradana School of Arts, began her dance journey at the age of 5, mastering the classical art forms of Kuchipudi and Bharatanatyam. She received early training from the esteemed gurus, Mrs. Renuka Uday and Mr. Uday Master.

Further honing her skills, she studied Bharatanatyam under the guidance of Sasilata Ma’am and Rathesh Krishna Master in Madipakkam, Tirupati.

Born and raised in Tirupati, Dr. Sripriya’s talent was evident early on. At the age of 13, she was awarded a gold medal for her Kuchipudi performance by YWCA Hyderabad and honored with the prestigious title of “Natyamayuri.”

Her passion for dance led her to begin her journey as a guru at the age of 25, where she has since nurtured numerous students, guiding them through their artistic growth. Dr. Sripriya has conducted over 10 to 12 Selangai Poojas and Arangetrams, helping children achieve excellence in the art of Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi.
