Dr. Sripriya Kapisthalam
Decades of Experience. A Thoughtful Approach to Every Learner.

Introduction
An artist, a teacher, a guide.
Dr. Sripriya Kapisthalam founded Natyaradana School of Arts in 2012. With more than 25 years of teaching experience and over 400 students trained, she brings deep knowledge of both Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi to every class. She is multilingual, and teaches learners of many backgrounds with equal care.
Artistic journey
A Kuchipudi gold medalist since 1985.
Her artistic path is marked by the Kuchipudi Gold Medal in 1985, followed by the titles Natya Mayuri and Kavinkalai Narthaki. She holds a B.A. in History, and was later awarded an Honorary Doctorate for her contributions to art and her service as a dance instructor.
Teaching philosophy
She does not teach every student the same way.
Every journey begins with understanding the learner:
- Their needs
- Their experience
- Their learning pace
- Their goals
- Their aspirations
Only then is the appropriate learning journey recommended.

Television experience
Character artist on screen.
She has appeared as a character artist in the television serials Kannana Kanne, Thalaattu and Ethir Neechal.
Student impact
400+ students, each on their own path.

Vision for Natyaradana
Inspire learners to inspire others.
Her vision is for Natyaradana to grow into a respected national and international performing arts academy — one that teaches the art in its right form, wherever the learner may be.
